An update on Anything Goes

Updated: Jan 9, 2022

It is with regret that we come to you with such news once again. Due to the rapidly escalating situation with the Omicron variant, increased restrictions and, most importantly, the risk to the health and safety of all involved, Orpheus will not be moving ahead with Anything Goes, scheduled to take place from March 4 to 13, 2022.

Since the outset of the pandemic, we have maintained that we will not return to the stage until it is absolutely safe to do so. At this time, it is clear that we cannot bring together the more than 100 volunteers it takes to produce a show without posing a risk to their health, and to the health of our loyal patrons by asking them to attend the theatre. It is with you all in mind that we have come to this difficult decision yet again.

To our valued subscribers and patrons who have remained patient, unfortunately, this does mean that we will not be able to begin sales this week, as previously announced. We will continue to evaluate the situation, and soon come to a decision on the 2022 season, with the best information available at the time. Please know that you will be informed as soon as we feel it safe to bring together members, volunteers, and patrons alike.

Despite these continued challenges, Orpheus has remained active in its mission to serve the community through the arts with classes, workshops, and development opportunities that are accessible for all. We remain dedicated to this programming, and look forward to sharing with you more of the exciting opportunities to come in 2022.

Until we see you again, we hope that you stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre as soon as circumstances permit.
