Orpheus Musical Theatre is now accepting applications for our 2025-2026 season! This is your chance to bring your vision to life and lead one of our spectacular productions.

Now Accepting Applications: Orpheus Apprentice Program

Are you ready to grow your skills and take the next step toward a leadership role on an Orpheus production team? We are now accepting applications for Apprentice positions in our 2025–2026 Season.

The Orpheus Apprentice Program is a unique opportunity for individuals with some experience to gain hands-on mentorship and fine-tune their skills within the context of a full-scale musical production.

2025–2026 Apprentice Opportunities

We are currently seeking applications for the following roles:

  • Apprentice Music Director
    Jesus Christ Superstar
    – Singin’ in the Rain

    (1 position per show)

  • Apprentice Costume Designer
    – Singin’ in the Rain

  • Apprentice Technical Director
    – Annie

About the Program

As a volunteer-powered organization, Orpheus relies on the incredible talents and dedication of our members. Many volunteers arrive with diverse skills and interests, and over time, they grow into the artistic and production leaders that keep our shows thriving.

The Apprentice Program is designed to:

  • Build a strong internal talent pool capable of taking on artistic and production roles at Orpheus.

  • Offer meaningful growth opportunities for members looking to deepen their skills and experience.
     

Apprenticeships are best suited to intermediate to experienced individuals who are ready to expand their capabilities and adapt their skills to the unique demands of an Orpheus musical. Apprentices are mentored by experienced team members with the goal of stepping into a full production role in a future season.

How to Apply

Interested applicants should submit the following by Friday, July 25 at 8:00 PM:

  • A brief expression of interest

  • A theatrical CV

Applicants will first meet with the Recruitment Director and the Production Head to determine suitability, after which selected candidates will be forwarded to the Production Personnel Selection Committee for final appointment.
