Orpheus is driving strong on Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. We have one more week at home at Orpheus house on Fairmont Ave., then all of our wonderful volunteers move Priscilla herself, all the costumes (and OH THE COSTUMES), the rest of the set and supplies, and move into Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe. We really hope you'll join us to see Tick, Bernadette, and Adam's voyage through the Aussie outback.
Just got back from Orpheus’ Priscilla Queen of the Desert playing at the Meridian Theatre Centrepointe. This is the best local production I have seen so far, it was awesome! Andy Allen-McCarthy, Shaun Toohey and DJ Eyamie were superbly cast, amazingly talented in their roles as the 3 main characters, the men in drag: Tick/Mitzi, Ralph/Bernadette and Adam/Felicia. The show kept up-beat, great energy throughout the full 2+ hour show and the music was so much fun. Costumes and sets were also spot on, it was a great quality show. I even cried a couple times.... (ok, 4 times!). Our family group ranged in age: 14, 18, 47, 50 and 78 and we were all gushing over this…
