The Orpheus Cares initiative supporting OrKidstra during Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang was a success! OrKidstra’s mission is to empower kids and build community through the joy of making music together, by focusing on social development through music by teaching life-skills (such as teamwork, commitment, respect and pride in achievement) to local kids from under-served areas of Ottawa including just down the road from Orpheus at the Bronson Centre. At their Centretown Hub Holiday Concert on Tuesday, December 18th at the Bronson Centre Theatre, Orpheus was pleased to present a cheque for $5,193! Our donation will go towards their 15-year strategic plan, Crescendo: Strategy 2032, in which they plan to almost triple the number of young children served by the program.
