This item is the oldest programme we still have.
It is from 1919 and is the third operetta performed by Orpheus, following Iolanthe in 1917 and The Yeomen of the Guard in 1918.
The show was a fundraiser for the Great War Veterans’ Association.
Among the ads are two full-page items, one offering assistance to soldiers returning from the Great War (World War I), the other describing the Great War Veterans’ Association.
Thanks to our archivist, John McGovern for these.
