Dust off your piano and warm up your voice. Dig out your banjo and tune up your fiddle because it’s time to show us what you’ve got.
Orpheus will be hosting a Virtual Original Songwriters’ Showcase. This event is open to all local artists who want to share their beautiful music with the world. All entries will be streamed at a date to be confirmed based on participation numbers.
If you are interested, please submit a video maximum 4 minutes that is shot horizontally. Be sure to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about the piece you will be presenting. What inspired you? When did you write it?
Both instrumental and/or vocal submissions will be accepted. Just be sure that it’s an original piece. If you want to get creative and collaborate virtually with another artist by all means, go for it. Only one entry per person but you may submit again if you are part of a virtual duo or group.
Please submit entries to showops@orpheus-theatre.ca by March 7, 2021. Be sure to include your name and email address with your submission. By submitting your entry, you in turn grant Orpheus Musical Theatre permission to stream your original piece. Please feel free to share with your friends.
